In an ideal world, insurance companies would deliver on all the promises they make in the commercials. In reality, they bully people with legitimate claims because they care only about profit – not people.
We started this firm to hold insurance companies accountable and turn the tide. Hopefully, one day these insurance companies will keep their promises. Until then, we’ll be here – ready and willing to stand up for people in courtrooms across the country.

Catastrophic Personal Injury
These are life changing injuries. If you suffer severe injuries to your spine, brain, or skull, if you have severe burns, an amputation or loss of use of part of your body, then your life has been irreversibly changed.
Wrongful Death
Wrongful Death claims arise when someone’s negligence, recklessness or indifference costs another person his or her life. Money can’t bring back our loved ones, but money is how we can hold people responsible for what they take from us.
Sex abuse
1 in 4 people have been sexually abused. Unfortunately, people with disabilities and children are particularly vulnerable to sexual abuse. We are passionate about standing up to abusers and enablers and preventing future abuse.
Civil Rights
We fight for the civil rights of individuals who have been wronged by governmental and institutional abuses of power.
Insurance Bad Faith
When an insurance company unreasonably denies a claim, fails to properly investigate a claim, or unreasonably delays payment of a claim, we hold them accountable.
LEGAL MALPRACTICE
Lawyers are supposed to help clients in need. When lawyers mess up or cheat clients, we are here to hold them accountable.
About Amanda
Amanda is not only a dedicated advocate, she also teaches lawyers throughout the country how to better represent people in need. She is a frequent speaker and teacher at educational seminars for the American Association of Justice, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and the Women’s Trial Lawyer Network.
Amanda was honored to be named as the New Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2022. This is a special award dedicated to recognizing the best rising trial lawyers in all of Colorado. In one nomination, a colleague said: “Amanda embodies the courage and perseverance of a trial lawyer better than anyone else I know. She never shies away from trial and is always employing new and creative trial tactics.”
Amanda is also a passionate advocate for individuals with special needs – she is a proud board member for the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center.

Founder and Chairman of the Board, Gerry Spence, now in his 80s, is still committed to attending every course and event that he can to share his knowledge and help you become a better trial lawyer.

The Wiedemann & Wyscoki Award – 2017. The American Association for Justice conferred the Wiedemann & Wyscoki Award to Amanda in July 2017. The Wiedemann & Wysocki Award recognizes AAJ members who have made outstanding efforts to support AAJ PAC and advance AAJ’s political priorities. The award is named in honor of Fritz Wiedemann and James Anthony Wysocki, two New Orleans-based attorneys and active AAJ members who were traveling on assignment for AAJ PAC when they died in a tragic plane crash. This award recognizes members who have carried on the legacy of Fritz Wiedemann and James Wysocki, who were passionately committed to AAJ PAC and the principles of the civil justice system.
